Since I don't have this unit, and the couple page instruction sheet doesn't say much about the operation of lighting, how do you turn the lights on/off?  I would guess they're controlled by the lighting outputs of the R2LC in the unit.  If so, I'd connect the AC input of the LED controller to that output and ground to control the lights.  If there are no incandescent bulbs across that output with the change, you'll also want to connect a .01uf 50V ceramic cap across the lighting output as well to trigger the lighting triac.
