The tree was always destined for the center. Very nice! Somehow, I missed that very important fact.

Lots of work, good plan, from sawhorses to now. Thanks for sharing the process.

The Fastrack is screwed down on the backside of the layout in the areas I cannot reach from the front.  The track is floating in the front so that I can lift it up to paint near it and tuck the snow fabric underneath.

The layout will stay in place through early Feb.  I will try to meet my goal of setup by Thanksgiving for 2016

You did a good job on this in a short period of time, so I'm hesitant to make this suggestion in case you haven't had the time to do it yet. A dark colored skirt around the perimeter, down to the floor, will do wonders to enhance this layout.

I like the track plan looping behind the tree.

Thanks.  There are additional features I have in mind and I will continue to add to it through Feb.  Hopefully it will just require setup next November, no more design and build!
