For those interested in making early plans for this show, the dates are January 26 and 27, 2019.

In addition, the brand new MGM Grand casino in Springfield is scheduled to open tomorrow and might be an additional point of interest for those so inclined. I might even be able to convince my wife to go to the train show if she knows we'd be staying at the casino and maybe seeing some entertainment or having a nice dinner at night.

And who knows - if you "play your cards right" you may be able to buy a few more items at the show !

Careful! You maybe BROKE at both ends ... you with the trains and her with the Gambling! Remember the house always wins!

Maybe I will see you at the show!

Hah ! It wouldn't be the first time a casino has taken my money but, at least in the short term, the house can lose and, hopefully, this will be one of those times.

I typically go with a couple of other guys and we make the round trip from Boston in one day, usually on Saturday, and that's a grind especially as I get older, but the casino will give us a new option of staying over and heading back Sunday - maybe with a pocketful of cash.

If you're going to be at the show on Saturday, I'd welcome the chance to meet another forum member.

Usually there's a group photo planned for members attending on Saturday.
