I'm searching for information about the correct 22uh choke to replace the jumper on fast track switches . I recently read in the electrical forum that it is recommended to use these, as they help prevent issues with dcs engines when using fast track command switches . I'm using DCS and Legacy together on the same tracks . I believe they were in a post a few years ago but I can't find the post . Any help and information is greatly appreciated .

Pretty much any small choke will do, the Fastrack switches don't consume much power, even when switching.  I buy them in quantity.  Search on this title on eBay and you'll get them for a little over $2 for fifty.

If you absolutely, positively have to have them quickly, here's a listing on Digikey with a suitable one.

John thank you for taking the time to respond to my inquiry . I read your comments on the choke about two years ago , but I didn't understand which size choke you used . I went to Amazon there were different sizes and didn't dare to pick one . I'm currently laying more than a dozen new switches . Thank you and all of the other contributors for the unending knowledge you pass on, so others can enjoy this hobby to the fullest . I also apologize for not responding sooner .

Resurrecting this old thread for a quick question.

My main layout uses AUX power for my Fastrack switches so I don't think I need the chokes for them to avoid DCS interference (DCS works fine).  But, my Christmas layout uses track power for the switches.  As far as the 22uh chokes for the switches, are they small enough to fit in the cavity under the switch?  I do disconnect the wired remotes so there is a maximum amount of space in the cavity.

You are correct about not needing them if you are using auxiliary power.  Depending on the size of your Christmas layout, you might not need them.  For years I ran TMCC and DSC on Fastrack with no problem.  That layout was 13x7.  After I moved, my layout is more than twice as big.  I added 10 more switches and decided not to tempt fate, so I followed GRJ’s instructions to check the switches and add the 22uh choke.  The choke fits inside the switch body with no problem.
