Please remember the victims and their families of 9/11 today. And maybe, in your prayers, the hope that we get this country back on the path of government for, of, and by the people.

I lived at 26th & 6th with a clear line of sight to the towers on that horrible day. Godspeed to the Fallen and their Families.
To my eyes they were the most beautiful buildings, ever. No matter how hard I tried, I could never see the "top" as I stood on the plaza next to a Tower and painfully cranked my neck back trying to see the "top."
While in college, I watched them being built. Later, I commuted through them daily. I worked in them for a time, including many breakfast meetings and other functions ..."up top".
I watched in horror, far from the Big Apple, as each Tower was hit, burned and collapsed into itself.
Now the Towers and those that died (and continue to die because of that horrible day) belong to the ages.
Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.
God speed to all those who were lost; and, may God bless and preserve our great nation.
While I watched those Towers go up and never thought I would see them come down, lets's not forget AA FLT 77 that crashed into the Pentagon and UA FLT 93 that crashed into a field in PA. I worked both UA aircraft that night before their departure. I lost some friends on both flights. Never Forget- Never Forgive. "Let's Roll"
Though I was born 3 years after this tragedy, I still shed a tear for those who have fallen.
God bless everyone, God bless America, and may we never forget! “Let’s roll!”
As for me, the sadness and anger are still terribly present. Especially this year, for some unknown reason. Perhaps it is related to my first visit to the memorial in NYC with my family a few weeks ago, I don't know...

For 34 years, I worked just down the street from you at 26th & Madison (New York Life Building). A group of us gathered in the boss’ corner office where there was a TV. It was an old building and the enormous bronze windows actually open. Shortly after each tower fell, the concussion worked its way up Broadway, across Madison Square Park, and rattled every window in the building. I will never forget those moments. May all that perished that day rest in peace. And my God bless all those who ran towards the towers when so many were fleeing.
My brother has been on FDNY since 1985. On 9/10, he was the chauffeur on 103 Ladder, working a 24 hour tour, getting off duty on 9/11. North Tower was hit at 8:46. His group was going off shift at 9am. When the bells hit, the oncoming group got in the rigs and went. All off-going were remanded to their stations, citywide. After the South Tower was hit at 9:03, all off-going in his station, engine and truck, were able to commandeer a MTA bus, and, went across the Brooklyn Bridge. My brother and his brothers watched the South Tower collapse from the bridge.
He, and 2 others, located the 2 trapped Port Authority cops, who were firing their guns, in order to be found.
We didn’t learn of his survival until after 11pm. There was a working pay phone on Vesey Street, and the operator was able open the phone to let calls be made without needing coins. Each first responder got 30 secs to communicate his survival to a loved one. We found out from his wife.
