364 Lionel Lumber Loader Testing

The grease in the gear box has probably turned hard with age. You need to grease the gear box, oil the motor bearings, and service the commutator and brushes. There have been several posts in the past about how to deal with a 364 belt that slips. Use the search engine to find them.

The controller you are using is a 148-100, not a 364C(despite the labeling). You have extra connections that are not clear in the photos, but the activation track should be wired with its own controller separate from the 364C.

ADCX Rob The Accessory Activator track doesn't have its own controller. You must be thinking of the operating track. But, thanks for the clue.

Good idea. I'll do a good repair job on my loader in the future. I don't want to drive my mom crazy for grease, oil, liquid soap, and chemicals like those just instantly.

The "Accessory Activator" track or pack is not for use with the 364... it was hard to believe that's what you were talking about.

Follow my diagram above for proper connection & operation.  An operating track is needed to unload unless you are doing it manually.

In the video the logs are not rolling into the car at the top of the ramp. It looks as if the triangular piece in the upper back corner is missing. It is black plastic or Bakelite and forces the logs off of the belt. It can be seen in catalog pictures and in Rob's illustration and should be readily available from parts suppliers
