The 38th annual railroad/transportation show will take place Friday October 30th through Sunday November 1st at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg, Maryland. All types of railroadiana and transportation items for sale. There will also be a model train show on site on Sunday November 1st. For more info see the attached flyers.

What were your thoughts on this years show? Looks like there were not as many dealers set up as last year with the empty space in the basement of the one building. I left Saturday evening and there were still quite a few empty tables were people were not set up. Unfortunately there are not many younger people involved in collecting railroadiana.
I actually thought the show was great this year. Much better than I expected. There were a couple of less dealers but I was expecting more to be absent.
My tables were in the downstairs room in front of the building. There have been less and less dealers showing up on Friday since they don't want to pay for another hotel night, plus food and possibly having to take off from work. Some dealers don't show up until Sunday morning. However, this year my room was completely filed with dealers on Friday with the exception of one dealer. The other rooms were about half full, similar to past years.
I brought half a pickup truck load of merchandise and when I packed up on Sunday afternoon, everything I had left fit in one tote.
