Just participated in 3rd MTH auction. Didn't see many bargains on locomotives but purchased a few items that I think are very unlikely to be done again in O gauge anytime soon - e.g., GN Cascade, Erie 0-8-8-0 Camelback.
Doing the auction takes me back to when I was a teenager working for my dad in our auction house in St. Thomas Ontario. We occasionally had train sets for sale from estates and he would let me take a set home to run it on the living room floor for a few days. Once we had a State set (I didn't know what it was then) - alas I had to return it for sale in one of our Thurs night auctions.
