Yesterday our 21" communication car arrived from 3rd Rail. Like all their items, this car was very well packaged. About an inch of white foam is inside the six surfaces of the shipping carton. The car's carton was in a cellophane bag. Inside that carton, the car is in a plastic bag and held in place by formed pieces of Styrofoam at each end. There is room for a strip of black soft foam above the antennas. More antennas than I thought would be on the car by looking at the photograph. As expected, this car is heavy. Windows are crystal clear and the furniture inside is just right. No people, but they may be added. This long car looks good on our O-120 curves. File picture, I'm have a problem transferring pictures from my camera to the computer. Lighting is very good, doors open and the work rooms extend from the windows far enough to allow a walking aisle on the opposite side of the car, much like an all stateroom car. It will run at the head end of our outside loop passenger train.
Scott shared the communication cars, hospital cars and surgery cars are on the same shipping schedule.
