These look pretty cool a bit pricy.

 

Thinking that one could create something like this cheap that would run on O Gauge track.

Perhaps some small motorized truck (the magic carpet units) mounted under a scale 1/43 body diecast vehicle.

 

Any ideas on a cheap bottom end powered that could provide power??

Perhaps a handcar remove the top and put a truck body on and glue on the hub caps from the model??

You could use the chassis and back axle from the early -era inspection vehicle (I think its a '38 Buick body) to power it, minus the front truck on that thing, and use this vehicle's front axle instead.

 

Or, the chassis from a Superstreets vintage truck, shortened a bit (fairly straightforward to do).  This would probably be the easier of the two.
