Steaming, Quillable Whistle

I was sure I saw a post or thread describing how to ‘enhance’ this feature on MTH Steamers so equipped. Usually I copy posts that attract my attention, but must not have on this one.
I current run both app & handheld WIU, Rev L, Z400 & MCR 270. I notice when I activate the quilling feature the sound intensity diminishes vs regular whistle. Most of the time, even at close proximity, it’s very hard to see the Steam effect.
