The Reading and Northern 425 fall foliage excursions next weekend from Reading to Jim Thorpe are all sold out. But three diesel runs are still available. The steam runs must be more popular. Most of the RDC rides are sold out as well. The RBMN must be doing good business with the excursions especially since they now have the boarding area in Reading. I can’t wait for 2102 to return.

I will be on the 425 excursion this coming Saturday. Somehow I have never been to this railroad even though I live less than 3 hours away. Looking forward to riding behind a new steam locomotive. I hear the 425 is loud.
My wife and I will be riding this excursion on Sunday after York TCA. I am driving to York by myself, and she will be flying to Baltimore and staying with friends until I pick her up on Saturday. Sacrificing Saturday at York for this, but it will be worth it. I have wanted to ride this excursion for quite a while; really looking forward to the fall colors, and especially the sounds and smells of the 425!
I'm going on the October 20th trip.
ps: We attended Ross Rowland's presentation at the Midwest Railway Preservation Society in support of the Reading 2100. If you ever have an opportunity to go to one of his presentations, I HIGHLY recommend attending! You will be enlightened and very entertained!
