They appear to be home-made.
Thom, nice work. I like your custom cars.
Really very nice, fooled me! I thought Menards got scooped! Lol
I did make them. They look nice mixed in with the ones from Menards. Going to take them to our next setup.
Still anxiously waiting for Menards to make a second series of nose art box cars! I bet they would sell just as good as the first.
Yes I would like to see another set. That's why I made a few of my own. I think Menards will. Glad they are making all the neat items that no one else has. Remakes over and over we don't need. We get a lot of that from others.
Thom,
Fantastic stuff, make me a set will ya!

Dave that could be done. Need Menard cars and would have to order more decals.
Very cool!

Great looking cars, it's a shame they don't let crews do that today! I know it's different time and era today and not politically correct!

In the late 90's on active duty, we were able to put our names and a unit logo on our helicopters, until we had one crash. The wife of one of the crew members saw the picture in the paper before she was notified, and knew by the logo that it was her husbands helicopter. A big mess followed.
In the Guard, some units will put their logos on them. My old unit in KY still has the logo on the engine cowling and the tail pylon. I guess it depends on the Commanders.
And you are 100% right about the PC thing. It's much better to not offend someone, then try to boost unit morale!
Hi MO, Doug.
My son who fly's those things (Hawks and Chinooks) has done two tours in Afgan and two in Korea and double in Panama. I am pretty sure they still put those cute little insignias on their aircraft. Not positive.
Currently he is flying the new little helicopter the Army has on the Arizona Mexican border weird surveillance stuff??? , I Can't remember the name of the thing.
I guess I will have to check with him just for grins and see if the good old Army has changed their attitude.
POLITICAL CORRECT. How sad. Can you think of those guys flying bomber raids in WW 2. They were very proud of their aircraft and those insignias what ever they were.
