I was packing up my trains to start setting up for our Independence Day event. I put it all in the living room to make it easy for me to box to-morrow. After getting it all out I realized, my collection has grown quite a bit in the past 6 years... Now obviously it doesn't even begin to hold a candle to some of the other collections on this forum, but it looks pretty impressive compared to when I started.

2012 marked the year I entered the realm of tinplate with my 154 set.

At the time I owned some Marx trains and track, you can see a 1666 in the foreground as the 154 goes zipping by... all while Whiskers stares blankly into the distance, contorted into some awkward position only a cat could be comfortable in.

2013 rolls around and now I have a 259e and a few freight cars... You can still see some of the Marx accessories laying about.

A bit slow out of the station, but by 2014 I had myself a nice 262 and a few more cars/accessories.

Now fast forward to July 2018...

Lots more trains, Standard Gauge, accessories. Plenty enough to make a miniature working railroad! I just thought it was a fun look back at how much my collection has grown over the years.

It usually starts with one lol.  You have a lot of nice trains too.

Thanks, I spend a lot of time restoring them, or buying excellent condition originals so that everything looks great! No rust on my layout!  I have to pack them all up now though and drag them to the park

Hmmmmm...based on the picture of the current contents of your living room I feel obliged to ask if you haven't been feeling well lately?  I mean, just LOOK at all of that empty space begging to be filled with more trains! ....nice collection.

Once I can afford my own living room I can probably fill it out more, I need to work on finishing my certificates first though.
