In the early morning hours our country was attacked, and the Greatest Generation went to war. Please take a moment to remember all our veterans, past and present, especially those who gave their all for our freedom. In memory of my grandpa Robert (AAF 1942-45) and my great uncle Jack (US Army 1941-45)

My dad was on board a cruiser in the Pacific at that time but we are not sure whether he was in Pearl Harbor not. He DID NOT talk about WWII or Korea.....ever!
Regardless, a salute and remembrance to all of our fighting men then and now...
And, by the way. Dad introduced us to our first "layout". An American Flyer S gauge freight set with buildings, smoke, and a whistle. It was strictly a Christmas thing. So the Flyer smoke smell is part of my ingrained Christmas memories.
