Even though this will operate in TROLLEY mode, I still can't find or add this engine. Other PS 2's work fine on my test track. Very unusual. Any clues to wazzup? This has a BCR in it.

Are you giving the BCR a minute or two to charge?
Do you have any lash-ups in the remote? If there are any, move them to another DCS address and try to load the trolley again.
This is the RK SD90mac PS 2 from a while ago. I tried replacing the BCR with a 9v battery to see if the system could read the engine. I get lots of errors like "Check Track",
"Engine not on track" and then suddenly "Engine found!" but it loads as a TROLLEY.
I get all PS 2 features except those that would be under "more..." like FYS, couplers, bell, horn, crew talk. Under the hood looks fine. It hasn't been that long since I ran this loco so I don't know what changed. My other PS 2s work fine using my test track. Only this one seems messed up. Maybe solar flare activity this year scrambled the board inside?
That's a possibility. Also, I'll try putting a "magic bulb" across the outputs of the transformer (Z4000) in case that's causing this. I like puzzles such as this. Thanks for the help!
