Good Morning Everyone,

I will start out with a couple of pictures of the progress on the Dandy Hook Lighthouse. I would like to thank Brian for the tip he gave me many years ago on using Baking powder to create uneven deteriorated surfaces. This lighthouse required this detail to make it look like the real one. Let’s see what you have been working on.IMG_6834IMG_6838IMG_6839IMG_6840

I finally finished my latest project in replacing the Atlas turntable with a siding/yard. I found for this size layout the turntable and whisker tracks took too much room. Having it this way allows for more small yard activity, and with the great idea from Bob @RSJB18, I can still run a train on the O48 loop while doing so. I now have 11 sidings individually switched at the panel.

Looks great Gene. You earned your Yardmaster Patch!

Happy to help with the design.......now if you could help me convince the CEO that I need more space in the basement.......

Really Nice guys.
Alan you have done marvelous on the exterior walls of the light house. Looks much better than any cake I’ve baked using the baking powder. ☺️

Clean transformation Gene and well organized control panel.  Thanks for sharing it with us…

Yesterday while listening to college football I began organizing the wires from the three lamps I had added to the Railway Express sign. The sign now glued to the roof is from Todd Architectural Models, Chatham NJ.  Lamps from Locomotive Joe’s.

Building is MTH RailKing Freight and transfer. Every freight door moves.

I need a great source for several Trucks with Railway Express signs on their sides to park around the exterior.   I have lots of freight to deploy which is coming in on the next freight….

Ben,

I thought these looked familiar. They look great on the layout. I'm glad these models found a new home. I have a few of Mike's models on my layout or waiting to be put on it.

Last week on Sunday Scenic Showcase, we featured photos, the one below being part of that post of our J Tower model that was assembled and weathered by Ms. Zora Maya Keith, my Thursday and Sunday morning layout helper and friend.

J 2

New for this week, we offer a joint effort among me, my son Chris and the "Z" lady as we begin to detail the interior of "J" Tower's upper floor. I cut and assembled the framework for the switch levers. Zora Maya made and painted black, a polymer clay inset for the framework for the levers, glued it in place to the floor and stained the wood flooring, lever base and a desk installed in the tower's bay window using stain mixed and cut by Chris so as not to overpower the wood works' coloring. The switch levers are round toothpicks purchased by Chris, cut to length and sprayed metallic silver before being inserted into the polymer clay insert in the lever frame base on the building's floor to hold the position of the levers. Also installed was an Arttista figure of a "Tower Man Throwing a Switch". The best photo of the interior, to date, is below.

Stay tuned as there will more photos in the future as new detail parts arrive and further progress is made.
