For the original TIU's rev G to L; can anyone tell me the PN# for the 8 triacs (I think that's what they are) mounted in the center of the board? They are the TO-220 chips that each have a heat sink mounted on them.
Thanks,
Rod

IRFZ44N, the major distributors don't have them nowadays, but even Amazon has them, and they're pretty cheap.

Thanks John, that helps a bunch. Are any of the mosfets p-channel; or are all 8 n-channel?
Another question, does anyone have a view of the main TIU board that shows which particular component belongs to each of the 4 channels? Thinking of these mosfets, the 74ACT244's, and other parts where there is 4 on the board.
Thanks, Rod
Rod, they're all the same part. The IRFZ44N FETs are all associated with the two variable channels, they're lined up with the variable channels they support. The 'ACT244's are lined up with the associated channels as well. Here's the positions of the TVS diodes and the ACT244 parts. This was posted by Vernon some time back.

John, fantastic, that helps a big bunch thanks.
I recall a project of yours back 3-4 years ago which involved a mod to the 74ACT244 chips ; but have forgotten the details. Can you point me to the topic so I can refresh that project please?
Thanks, Rod

Mouser & Digikey aren't major distributors any more? 😁
When I looked I didn't find them for some reason. I was a bit surprised they weren't there. I'm glad they're actually there.
