I have a couple of good locations for one of these on my layout, and i'm curious if anyone has used them with standard gauge since they are prewar and reasonably sized.  Based on pictures, the end of the output spout appears to be about 5" above the table.  It would seem that would work ok with a #218 dump car.

My question is, does the coal "shoot" out or just "dribble" out?  I would need to allow adequate horizontal clearance for taller equipment to pass by.  If it dribbles I would need to mount it on a taller secondary base and possibly make a longer chute.  I'm not sure how much I'd actually use it, but I like everything to be able to operate.

If someone knows the dimensions and coal ejection action I would be most appreciative. Thanks!
