Ted, you should have a fun time this April. Congratulations on your retirement.
Well hotel reservation made, badges for wife and I ordered, health is the best it can be, not great but good enough if you know what I mean, so will be seeing y'all in a couple of weeks. Planning to drive up Thursday morning early with my wife, do the show in the afternoon, dinner and head home the next morning. Can anyone tell me if the Thursday evening OGR get together is happening and where this year?
Good Luck to you EDDIE. Remember pace yourself.
Paul,
The Thursday evening event is in Quaker Steak & Lube, where Friday's was previously. See you there!
Good Luck to you EDDIE. Remember pace yourself.
No worries - Eddie now has auto-pacing turned on all the time!
First York in a long time not working with Vince and Chuck. Hope I can find my way around. Bringing my grandson to buy for the layout.
Y'all look out for Trainpop on the prowl, too!
Moonson posted:Yes, but does anybody remember the open-air livestock pens that used to be between the Orange Hall and the stadium?
FrankM.
Not only the livestock cages, but I remember the open pit beef barbecues too! There was a sign on the wall in the Purple Hall that use to always make me laugh, it read "All rabbits must be checked".
I miss the auction on Fridays night in the bldg where the silver hall is now.
Eddie,
Where are you? You haven't posted in 11 days.
And so was I Joe. Haven't been very many posts about the up coming York meet at all.
Larry
Still no word from Eddie. I emailed him but did not get a response.

Larry
Worried about Eddie . . . . . hope he is OK. C'mon Eddie, tell us all is fine.
I got an email from Eddie's daughter Lisa. Eddie had quadruple bypass surgery last week. She said he is doing well and should be coming home in a week or so.
Yes! Eddie, I'm worried about you!
Peter
Eddie speedy recovery!!!!!
I talked to Eddie yesterday in the hospital and he will be up and running. We talked for a bit and he sounded good. He feels bad about missing York but will be there in October. He thanks everyone for good wishes sent.
Best wishes, Eddie!
Come on Eddie, get better soon. Now I have to do the weather report for York.
Thursday - 59 Degrees - 0% chance of rain
Friday - 60 degrees - 10% chance of rain
Saturday - 65 degrees - 20% chance of rain.
Right now not looking too bad.
My First York! Looking forward to meeting as many OGR members as I can.

J Daddy posted:My First York! Looking forward to meeting as many OGR members as I can.

Not going to make this Meet. Too much going on at work and I've already taken time off for two weddings the past two months and another one next month.
Best wishes to Eddie G! Hope to catch up with you in October.
Get well soon Eddie, I am sure you will be missed !!!!
Hey Eddie, sorry to hear you will not be at this event, hopefully by Fall you will fully recovered!!
Larry Sr. posted:This is my first as well. It is just a recon trip.
I seriously doubt that considering you have a wish list in hand!!!!!!! We will do our best to hold you to browsing only!
Eddie, get well soon.
David
LOL, that was a little miss leading.
Have cash and wish list in hand and trying to stay in the fast lane would be more appropriate .
I'm ready.
Larry.
PS Sorry Eddie is not able to make this one.
Eddie! Never had the pleasure to meet you, but have always enjoyed your 30-day countdowns to York meets!
Sounds like you've got a horde of healing hearts in this forum wishing you a speedy recovery....me included.
Now, lest you're feeling sorry for yourself...or just downright bummed!...about missing next week's meet I'd count my blessings were I in your shoes. Your cardiac bump-in-the-road could've happened while you were AT York!....away from home and the family/physicians who were ready to give you the immediate attention and care you needed!
I recall a couple years ago that Dennis Zander (Z-Stuff) was stricken with an ailment (don't recall whether it was cardiac in nature) en route to a York meet. Scary stuff. Gives one pause to consider 'other' factors in travelling....besides weather, expense, place to stay, traffic jams and congestion, construction detours, etc., etc., etc.. Good reason to have a buddy (buddies?) or loving spouse to travel with....and regular check-ups with the doc!!
Looking forward to your October 2016 countdown!!
