Yes indeed Mark, O'l Tadpole passed on to the big roundhouse in the sky before dieselization really took root. I hate to say it, but it was probably a blessing that O'l Tadpole passed on, due to the fact that the Western Maryland was fully diesel powered by 1954. Surely had he lived til then, he'd probably died of disappointment and a broken heart. Tad sure love him some steam locomotives.
