Hi,

As I am figuring out the paint colors and figuring out what parts I need to restore my 122 station, I have a question.  In each corner at the top of each wall piece there is a hole, so when the walls are joined each corner has two holes.  My question is, why were there holes there if the 122 stations did not have the two corner lights?  Do I truely have a 124 station that someone stripped both the interior and exterior lights from ?

I am planning on boiling the walls this weekend to remove the paint.

   Thank you,

Kevin,

Simple answer - those holes are pushed out at the same time the window and door are punched and the bricks are embossed. It is not a separate operation. Then these same parts can be used whether they are assembling a 121, 122, 123 or 124 Station. It keeps the number of different piece parts down and doesn't cost anymore.

Tide no longer contains TSP - neither the powder nor the liquid. I just confirmed that by reading the label on a box of powder Tide I bought a couple of weeks ago. The Feds banned phosphates in laundry detergents years ago due to serious environmental problems. Phosphate is a fertilizer and was fueling algae blooms, among other nasty effects. The ban was extended to dishwashing products last year.
