Hi guys,

it's be a while since my inquiry, now I have a problem with reading my DCS remotes both have started to read 'Check Track'  at times whenever I'm running engines (Ps2's) I have originally had wired my layout with a common bus line and the hot bus line is broken up in three sections for detecting and isolating any electrical problems. This manner has served me with conversional engine and now doing the same for the DCS system. Has anyone had or have had the same situation as I expained and if they have it resolved it,  I would to know how or what to do.

Chuck,

One other possibility that's a bit of a stretch is that the transceiver board in either the TIU or both remotes has begun to back out of its socket, and is intermittently causing the remote to miscommunicate with the TIU.

Connect (tether) the DCS Remote's Programming (TIU Connection) port to the TIU's Remote Input port using a 4-conductor telephone handset cable (the curly one) and then operate trains as usual. If the CHECK TRACK errors are gone, the issue is most likely due to a floating transceiver board.
