Today I was visited by Alex Malliae and Gerry Morlitz from New York.   Part of the day included a visit to the highly sceniced layout of Carl Chancey and a visit  to Charles Ro.  A great time was had by all and when I asked Alex to sign my wall of fame he could not find any room.  He asked for a spray can and told me he would spray paint over the signature of Ben Fioriello to make room for his signature.

He then signed his name.

Alex met Ralph and they became good friends.  Ralph was very upset with Gerry for not bringing his pal Erol (Locolawyer) with him.

Here we are at the fantastic layout of Charl Chancey.

Guy's,

Had to post on this again.

These are the things that make this forum great. Most people think of the stereotype when they think of modelrailroaders. Like we're loaners and hangout in basements and garages. Oh yea, we also don't shower. LOL!

But things like this show we are not, and can and are a very social animal.

The layout pictures are terriffic, Alex thank for posting them.

I know they had a great time yesterday even though I wasn't there. Alex was texting back and forth with me all day. Also, he was texting me pictures like crazy. So I know he was enjoying himself with the guy's and Ralph. I just wish I could've went with them.

Great Thread!

Hi Marty & Dotty. I would like to thank both of you for being such wonderful hosts. I had a great time.

Carl, it was really great to see you and see your layout again. It is truly spectacular and it was lots of fun running the trains.

Sean, I am amazed at the talent some of the people have with layouts. I certainly don't have it, but I have fun anyway. One of the great things about this hobby is that all different things are welcome. I'm much more of a 50's type guy -- put it on green plywood and let it run.

Captain John -- hopefully next time. It was nice seeing you the last time.

Mike R -- Alex was a great passenger. He put up with my driving and both of us are into country music. So for you Southern guys, here we are zipping from NY to Boston and back listening to Shania, Toby, Martina, Alan Jackson, Hank Williams (Sr., not Jr.), Patsy Cline, etc. Talking trains and cars.

WHAT A GREAT DAY.

Gerry

You know there are really some times I wished I lived up near you guys so I could visit your train layouts.  But then on the other hand we haven't had any appreciable snowfall for the past 2 years.  And could I really learn at this old age to root for the Yankees or Patriots?

As Emily Litella used to say, "Nevermind".

prrbill, you and all OGR forum members have an open invitation to stop by and visit anytime. Everyone is welcome to run trains and have fun. I have had many forum members stop by and run trains they have with them from home. Members from Canada and California have stopped by often. I have several other layouts close to visit while in the area. Carl Chancey is a short drive as well as Dave_C. Dave has a highly detailed layout. Carl's layout is also a highly detailed layout. My layout is a toy train layout with scale trains.

Many people like to visit Charles Ro while in the area. Recently a great club has become a top attraction in the area. The Boston Metro Hi Railers. This is a fantastic club with some high end members.  They are currently doing some fantastic scenery.  I love to stop by and admire the quality of the workmanship.  April 6, they have an open house.  They are located in Willmington, Mass.
