I have had the MTH Premier Milwaukee Road DL-109 and 110 for awhile sitting in the "round-to" file, you know when you get "around" to it,  to upgrade to PS-2. I purchased a few months back a PS-2 DL-109 in the Rock Island Rocket colors and yesterday finally got round to swapping out the truck sides, and undercarriage and shells. So not to have the PSA sounds announcing the Rocket and stations along it's route, I realized I'd have to give up maybe the correct engine sound for Hiawatha stops, so tried several of the diesel's files and while the sounds and stops are acceptable, I lose the ability to turn off the interior lights, and the marker lights do not turn on at all. Anyone do an upgrade on the DL_109 and what sound file did you use? I did call MTH Service to see if a sound file was ever made for the engine in PS-2 that  they cataloged then cancelled ,and got a big "don't know and don't know who would know" response, lol.

I would think so too Chuck, and the selection does show up when you add the engine to the menu, they just won't turn on the lights or off which I don't understand why it won't. The lights physically work, if I load the DL-109 sound file they work, but the other files even though the engines they are made for state they have marker lights, the marker lights will not turn on at all. What I have in it right now is the FM Erie built that does work the interior light, MARS light and the station sounds are good. I will probably just add some LED's that run off track power for the marker lights to be illuminated.

They are bulbs. After trying the CNW file which had a specific CNW train name announcement, I am going to use the FM Erie built sound file for the Morning Hiawatha, it still has the MARS light and the interior light works on/off and I will use a couple of the 3V-19V Universal CHIP LED's and run them off track power to light up the Marker Lights. Don't want to put too much on the board.
