Thanks to Norton we have ordered a new can motor for our #565 0-8-0 PRR engine.
We received this little beauty with a burned out motor and we think the board is shot also as we think that the person that had it before us used an AC transformer to test it. We got it on Ebay and he said that it ran a few inches and quite with a little puff of smoke.
After we install the motor we are going to rewire it with a DALLEE reversing unit so it can be operated on AC power. Plus, we are going to build up a semi-Vandy tender to go with it.
