I need help to use track power for accessories.

I am using Gargraves track and have a 132 stop station and want to add a crossing gate. The stop station requires the center rail to be isolated and the crossing gate requires one of the outside rails to be isloated. The question is if the two rails are isloated on the same section of track will anything work?

Thanks

Dave

Follow the wiring instructions with the Stop Station. The center rail is used to stop & start the engine, and the outside is most likely used as a sensor or trip section.

When using Gargraves track you found out by now that all three rails are completely separated electrically.

If you need insulating pins for Gargraves track, go to Ross Custom Switches website as they carry those in stock.

Sure, everything will work. Power and common to either side of the isolated section will remain. The Common on one outside rail of the isolated section will remain. It will take some trial and error to find the placement of the station.

Search the Forum for the 132. Someone had some wiring ideas. You may want to install a switch to keep the train from stopping every time. 132 on\off bypass.
