Please add your pictures to the best rolling stock, best paint job, best detailed etc., so we can get (hopefully) a nice assortment of pictures of everyone's favorites piece of Lionel rolling stock.
It's just a different way to encourage you to publics pictures of something you enjoy.

Since you posted the same thread title twice I'll hope the moderators will merge the two into one so nothing is lost. In the meantime, as far as detailing is concerned, this would have to be my favorite with respect to recent Lionel offerings.
I'm reposting this post because it deserves replies, and because it is the beginning of the weekend, the best time to post your pictures.
So I ask, please show us your favorite piece of rolling stock, or some piece you think was highly detailed or exceptionally true to scale. This could be a fantastic visual photo album of really cool pictures of model railroading!
Nice idea, Don. Here’s my favorite, for now, a custom built Lackawanna caboose (built by Brother Love).
Scatch built in 1987 using wood, styrene cut-down All Nation car ends and Walthers decals, follwing an earlier MR article on building one in HO. Done long before internet access and the ready-ro run model by Weaver. Won Best of show at the NE Region NMRA at Saratoga in 1997.
