I need to start this by saying "Thank you" to Walt Rapp who unknowingly provided the genesis for these.  Sometime last year (I think) he was trying to model spot lights for a house he was building and he mentioned that  he used triple-headed beads.  I was able to locate them at Michael's where I noticed that they have a hole in the middle.  After getting them home I experimented and discovered that an Evans Designs micro-chip LED fits into the hole.  I used Testor's Clear Parts Cement to glue the LED in and fill up the hole a little bit.  Paint was applied to the whole bead with the exception of two of the heads which allowed the light to shine out.  As you can see below the effect is not perfect since the entire sign is not lit evenly. I think it would be better if the angle between the heads was narrower.  However, I think they do provide a little bit of a different look and I'm going to leave them in place.

Thanks guys!

OGD - I don't have a picture, but Walt shows them this thread - spotlights.  Scroll down and look for his May 1st post and then the 4th picture down.

I forgot to mention in my post above to take a little sandpaper and rough up the areas where you want to paint.  I didn't do that and had trouble getting it to stick (I should have known better and will remember for next time).
