April 2016 will be my first York.  I am excited.  I was planning to arrive late Wednesday evening and stay through Friday evening.  By not staying later or arriving earlier will I be missing anything?

You won't be missing a lot.  Saturday is very slow, but can be a great time for hunting last-minute bargains.  There are some activities before the TCA meet, like the bandit meets and the TCA Museum presentation on Wednesday and the DCS meeting Wednesday night.

Thursdays and Fridays are the heart of the meet and are the best days not to miss.

Are they mailing anything out?  Will not register on line.

Yes, they always mail out a York booklet before the show. If you don't normally get one you can use the form in the last issue of the TCA Headquarters News. That's what I did. I didn't even realize the form was there until a friend told me about it.

For the last two Yorks, I pre-registered for the next York on site.  I plan on doing this from now on.  Wondering when the online registration will be available or when the registration booklet will arrive are now one less thing I have to worry about.

It also means I can just concentrate on paying attention to EddieG's York Countdown posts and anxiously awaiting the next York.

Are you getting a free buggy whip with your mailed-in registration?

Seriously, there is absolutely no reason to fear doing something like this on-line any more. All the security scares of a few years ago were vastly overblown and are essentially non-existent now anyway.

Better get used to it because it is the 21st century way of doing business. I cannot recall the last time I ordered something or signed up for something via regular mail or via phone. I do everything on-line now, even my banking. No problems at all and it is so much easier than licking envelopes and sticking stamps on them.

you did not state where you had looked and when no one else answered I gave you an answer and you come back and crap on my post. What kind of human does that?  if you did not want that kind of an answer why didn't you give more info first?

I can not read your mind to know where you looked or if you were even at York so I answered the word I read!

Good afternoon, I have a question about on site registration for this spring show.

I will not know if my wife and I will be able to attend until most likely Thursday evening.

Is it a hassle to register at the show on Friday ???

I have always preregistered but this spring work season is going to busy hectic so it may be a last minute decision whether we attend.

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance !!!!!

Good afternoon Larry, what I meant was the evening Thursday, April 14 2016.

By the time the afternoon rolls around on the14th will determine if my wife and I are going to attend.

It is about a 3 1/2, to 4 hour drive for us so traveling to York is not a big deal.

I just don't want to spend two hours in line on Friday 15th waiting to get registered when I could be shopping.

Thanks for the reply though !!!!

Mark, I had to wait in line once back in the 90s and promised I would never do that again.  I go ahead and register in the hopes that I can go.  The $20 or so is worth the gamble versus having to wait in line to register.  But if you are registering on Friday then the show will be in its second day and probably not that much of a hassle.  Just depends how much you value your shopping time and experience.

Sent my registration fee of $9.50 in on Feb 19 2016 via online registration and have NOT received my badge yet.  Did they send badges out yet?  I did email the registrar but didn't hear back yet.

Rick

Got my badge at least a month ago. I'd start making phone calls to hopefully avoid waiting in line.
