AF transformer one-piece vs. two-piece contact arms -- the story?

Flyer went from a one-piece contact arm design under each turret to a two-piece design with one half mounted to a pivot on the chassis and the other half under the turret instead. When was that change made? Around 1953? Thanks.

The Factory Service Manual Page for those transformers dated July 23, 1954 shows part #20, contact lever and stud assembly; and part #26, contact arm assembly. So it is most likely the change in design was after that date. My guess would be early 1957 with the change to the 5 digit numbers.
