All Electronics is Going Out of Business... just got this email in my inbox this morning. I have been ordering from them since we got our first fax machine in 1987. This will be a loss to all hobbyists across many fields!

Rob, thank you for passing along this information. Sorry to hear this.
So sorry to hear this. They have been a great supplier to the hobby and us hobbyists for many years. They are having a final clearance sale. Your last chance to buy up products of their at highly discounted prices. See the link posted above in ACDX Rod post.
I used to buy parts from them, too.
Here's a somewhat better link to the full web site. More "stuff" to see.
Really sorry to hear that.

Thanks for passing this on. All Electronics was always a great place to get bits and pieces that one could not find elsewhere. Looking at their site, there is a lot that I could buy whether I need the items or not!
Odd, I never heard of them until I read ACDX's post.
This is just WRONG. We're not supposed to out live our suppliers.
Bummer, I have ordered from them a bunch of times.
I live 15 minutes driving time from the All Electronics store, so I will really miss them. All is the 7th electronic parts store that has closed in LA in the past few years (Sandy's, ITC, Electronic City, Radio Shack, Circuit City, Fry's and now ALL). Guess I'll be using mail orders from now on.
Too bad to hear. I've been buying from them for years. Not good news .
In case anyone cares, the owner is retiring and that is why he is closing down. Maybe someone will step in and buy the business. Just there yesterday to pick up a DC rocker switch for my Menards rocket launcher, and of course to look around the store.
So, who else, where else comes close?
There is Jameco, Parts Express and for sheer parts inventory Digi-Key. I've used them all.

Digikey and Mouser have millions of parts, they're my primary go-to sources of electronic parts. Failing that, I start trolling the off-shore vendors.
They are still hanging in there, most likely with reduced inventory. I just bought some more toggle switches at reduced prices for the club layout.
Too bad, they were my "go-to" place for electronics for many years.

The Digikey catalog makes my head spin. 400,000,000 variations on an item and unless you know the exact part #, you're totally lost. Very difficult to navigate - for me at least.
I need to get my last order into All Electronics.

Shopping at a commercial electronics supply house is a different experience. You need to shop by specification if you don't have a specific part number.
While DigiKey and Mouser are great if you are looking for a specific part by either part number or specification, All Electronics was great for browsing and finding something you needed (or never knew that you needed) at an acceptable price.

I guess I have enough stuff that I need that I don't routinely go browsing for something I never thought I needed.
A couple of places similar to All Electronics might be Marlin P Jones (mpja.com) and (as mentioned earlier) Jameco (jameco.com). Personally, I think MPJA is probably the most like All Electronics. Jameco probably has a larger selection.
As for Digikey and Mouser, I was lost the first time I tried using their sites. Definitely takes some getting used to. I think it's worth the effort to learn if you purchase many electronic components.
First it was Allied Electronics, then Lafayette Electronics , then Radio Shack and now All Electronics biting the dust, what is this world coming too? Well, we still have the internet and eBay and 2 month waiting time for shipments from China.

Thanks just place an order really great prices while the supplies last! usually use Mouser, Digikey and many other companies! radio shack use to be great until they tried cell phones and went down the tubes. here is another good parts company! aliexpres !

Concerning Allied Electronics, view the Wikipedia page for them:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RS_Americas,_Inc
and in particular
"In October 2022, Allied announced they would be changing their name to RS in Q1 2023 as part of an overall rebranding strategy to establish a better connection across RS Group’s products and services."
There was also the problem that a google search would show up another Allied Electronics.
