Hello? Chuck? Are you still with us?
Wanted to make sure you didn't get lost in the new forum.
Hey Ted did they send out the dealer tickets yet?

Still peeling the potatoes for the HamFam brefix. Glad to see LionelBill changed the title of this thread.
I am planning to be at the meet, and hopefully I will remember to be at the OGR Booth at 11 am. Sorry I cannot do the breakfast, but thanks for the invitation.
Bobby: You'll like the Allentown "Spring Thaw" train show at the Fairgrounds. Its a decent size show with a bit of just about everything O gauge. Across the road is a huge Farmers Market where (if you like) you can bring home fresh Amish and American food after you see the show. I currently attend only three train shows/meets; ED/TCA York, Greenbergs Edison and Allentown and I consider all three worthwhile.
Hey Ted did they send out the dealer tickets yet?
They went out about 2 weeks ago. If you haven't seen yours yet you may want to give Greg a call. 610-972-8343. He handles all the dealer stuff.
Chuck,
Weather permitting, Sue and I will be attending Spring Thaw and the breakfast, so please add us to the list. And put us down for a couple of tickets...thanks!

Locolawyer and I will be there. We will not be at the breakfast, but we look forward to seeing all of you.

As stanfard for me, I have work on Saturdays but am attending this time on Sunday. I'll be looking for Sean and for Chuck.
I will be attending the show, but most likely not until 10:30 or so.

Hey Ted, thanks for the warning!
Unlike Chuck, I look forword to seeing you Ted :-)
For those who might be a bit shy about joinging the august group, don't be. We are all in a separate room at the HamFam (they know what they're doing) with our table laid out much like an 'around the wall' layout so that we can all mingle and talk to each other. No cliques....and it forces people to talk to me. So join us!

Ted,
Sorry you can't make it. Always a pleasure to hang with you even if you can't spell!!!
For those who might be a bit shy about joinging the august group,
August? I thought we only did this in Feb. and Nov. Although I'll miss this one, I'll see you in August.

Is that how they pronouce "joining" in the Bronx?
Yes, Joe. You 'joing' something after you have a 'sangwich with cawfee'

I was born in Queens. My Grandmother cooked a "learn of pork", and told me I dassent cross the street without looking. She cleaned the stoop daily.
When did she loin to cook the learn? Or is it the other way around?
Or as Groucho once said: "is there any further father?"
Hey everyone...I am thinking about coming up to the thaw. I am pretty new to the forum and getting back into the hobby over this past year. Most of my stuff is post war from my father and grandfather and I have been able to add some of my own pieces now. Not sure if I can do breakfast, but I am looking forward to meeting some of you guys instead of just reading your comments. Thanks! Brian
Looking forward to it. Really don't have the spare cash but I haven't been to a show in quite some time. The Allentown shows are my favorites next to york
The wife gave the green light! Please mark us down for 5 - but where is the "HamFam" breakfast held, do they have a website or directions? I've never been there before. I'm picking up tickets tomorrow at TF Trains in Jersey. Two adults but three kids (girls, 1, 4, 7) - they like trains. We should be there for the breakfast (but traveling with a 1 yr old you never know). Looking forward to meeting the real people behind the keyboards! Early admittence would be great cause we have to leave early to get back - my parents are coming to visit.

Brian, we don't take 'reservations' here, just 'indications'....so feel free to join us for breakfast if you can.
Johedko, look forward to meeting you all.
" do they have a website or directions" Here it is.

Chuck,
Looks like the count is now at 34. Better add that second waitress! can you give them a call?
I'll see what I can do. That's a good idea. In any event let's order as we arrive in order to speed up service.
Can I order now?
Chuck:
Since over 30 people expected, HamFam should plan for a bigger room...now.
If I remember, we filled it last time and did not have as many expected 'guests'.
Do we need to be there on Friday night to get a good seat?
Also, will there be an operating layout at Hamfam?
Will the layout be conventional or command?
Is there going to be a special HamFam Commemorative Car?
Thanks.
Walter M. Matuch
I vote for a gondola loaded with scrapple!

Looks like a marketing opportunity for RMT, Walter.
I'm surprised you're not all over it.
I'd be in for a HamFam car!!! can't wait till saturday!
Dave.
Alright, I'm coming clean.... Weather permitting, I will be there. I have always wanted to join the fun, but could never arrange it. This year, I have the opportunity. I was just going to show up.....However, since it looks like it will be important to know how many are coming, I'll forego the surprise. Only bad weather will keep me from showing up.
Peter
BTW......there are snowflakes actually coming down in central Virginia! I'm not sure it will stick. The sun is poking through and the ground isn't frozen and the temperature is 38.

Considering I can't be there can I get someone to bring me some scrapple on saturday morning, please? Just spare me Chuck's foo-foo pancakes.
Going to try to get there.
I might have 1 more guest with me.

Walter had a carpet central sans track one year with a Beep and Caboose demonstrating his train commander system!
