In my few amateurish attempts at airbrushing model buildings I have been using thinned Floquil paints. Apparently that brand is not made any more. Any suggestions for an acceptable substitute?
Scale Coat II and True Color. I just started using the True Color paints so I'm still undecided. Scale Coat II is great stuff and I have used it over the years when I couldn't get Floquil.
Floquil was always my favorite going back to the Dio Sol days. Tru Color is fine for spraying solid colors, not so good for brushing and that includes the so called brushable versions. Also not so good for special weathering effects. Ok for shading but not good for simulating runs and drips which I could do by brushing solvent over fresh paint.
Thanks for your answer. Do you have any experience with other paint brands that are better for weathering and the drips and runs that you mentioned?
Bob
