Did anybody take the Saturday or Sunday Amtrak Autumn Express out of Philadelphia, down the Northeast Corridor to Perryville, MD and then make a rare trip up the Port Road branch, along the Susquehanna River.  Pass through Enola Yard, cross the Shocks Mill and Rockville bridges and make a brief stop at Harrisburg, PA before continuing over the Columbia Secondary and back to Philadelphia via senic Lancaster County?

I found out about it way too late to book back in August.  If you made the trip, how was it?

Back in the middle of May my wife and I visited my sister in Carlyle, PA.  We took the train out of Philly to Harrisburg.  This was the most beautiful country I have ever seen, my wife could not get over the farm land, and plow horse's in the fields.

The coffee on the train was not bad.  A big treat awaited us at Harrisburg, Station when we saw the orginial GG1 on display.  We both can not wait until next spring when we visit once more.

Many thanks,

Billy C
