From Minneapolis to members who may not sure about travel plans to the West Coast .. I have decided to skip air travel hassles and take the Empire Builder train to Portland,OR then a short/ direct non-stop to Tacoma,WA from Minneapolis, St. Paul, MN. The "Builder" originates in Chicago. The AMTRAK station in Tacoma, WA is in very close proximity to the Convention host hotel. This avoids the issue of air arrival in SEA-TAC then the hour long ground limo transit to Tacoma to the south. AMTRAK has a very complete web site and customer service locally is truly first class. I am impressed.. they want my business and I can't be thrown out of my seat. IF you are taking the train "west" on the Saturday before the convention, give me a heads-up .. I will enjoy seeing you there. Washington State in the summertime is beyond lovely. LCCA Conventions are never to be missed. Kind wishes RM#29971
