Yes that’s a good point Mallard. I believe it’s called a first time guest, but I know that when I was trying to book it that some of the information on the Eastern Division TCA website was not correct so it was confusing. So just make sure that you phone in once the call Centre is open and they will take care of you there. I didn’t need anyone to sponsor me or anything like that. A great way to get first timers out, they should probably do more to promote and clarify that because I often read about how you can’t access all the halls or need someone to sponsor you and that is not the case.  Both my dad and I went to our first York this way. I hope that helps,

My first York experience was April 2019.  Here is a link to the thread of my impressions of the meet.  (hint, hint )

Just renewed my TCA membership a few minutes ago, and I plan on attending again this upcoming October.  Last time I only went one day and didn't have the opportunity to meet and mingle with any of the forum members.  Trying to figure out what activities are planned for this year and I may make it a two day event so that I can meet some of you.

Go for the gusto and make it all three days!   I come down early on Thursday to make the Round-The-Clock Diner breakfast, then on to the Orange Hall to setup and get ready for the day.  I don't leave until Saturday after the halls close and we get the trailer packed up.
