Thanks Guys and Thanks OGR. It's my pleasure to support this forum. Long ago, I had started my own Forum at 3rdrail.com. It's not an easy tasks. I had to spend hours everyday monitoring, assisting and erasing the spam hits. I finally shut it down and just put a link to this Forum. It's so popular now, it's a great venue for putting the word out.

Thank you all for your continued support.

To answer the above question: Sunset Models Inc. is a Corporation. 3rd Rail is a brand name under Sunset Models. Golden Gate Depot is a DBA I have used since 1988 when I founded it. Since the passing of my father Mort Mann, I run both of these companies separately for various reasons. Sunset Models has focused on Brass engines and cars, while GGD has focused on Aluminum cars and Plastics. But these materials are mixing a bit with the advent of our ABS RDC and Diesel Runs under Sunset Models. For now, they will remain separate.

Enjoy your hobby.

Scott,

The passengers tell me they don't care about advertising sponsorship or manufacturer name.  When they get on board, all they talk about is the comfortable ride, elegant meals, and the tasty cocktails.

Should they ask however, when on the GM ToT will they be riding on 3rd Rail or Golden Gate Depot passenger cars, since they were purchased as part of a motive powered set from the 3rd Rail order form.

Inquiring minds will want to know.

Great to see 3rd Rail be a sponsor, thanks Scott.  I've been a customer for many years and with each model I've purchased, they have become better and more detailed.

My latest purchase were the EMD FT's.  If you are looking for accuracy, they are the best out there.  Those unfamiliar with 3rd Rail products ought to take a look at the FT threads in both the 3RS and 2Rail sections and see what a fine product 3rd Rail produces.

I have been able to email and speak to Scott directly several times something that is not easy to do with the other train company heads. His company's warranty is not set in stone but I understand why companies need to have one. I have purchased 4 of his companies FL9 models, the New York Central P3 electric locomotive, 2 of the FP7

models and have a New York Central R class electric locomotive on order if Scott gets enough orders to have them made. I look forward to see what other locomotives Scott

has planned for in the future.
