Is there a alternative way to connect or wire to operate the Lionel 6-1254 Automatic Highway Flasher besides using the 154C contactor? I have a 145C contractor. The flasher was purchased at a train show, but contactor was not included. O gauge tubular track is what it would be connected to.

Thank You

Assuming you have the 6-2154(it looks like you transposed two numbers),

you could do it the Marx way:

Or you could segment the ground rail of any straight or curved section of track by cutting with a Dremel wheel and reassembling wthe rail with fiber pins... the basics can be found here(Marx discussion, but works with the 154 too...):

Triggering Marx Signals

Here is a good close-up of the contactor for reference(from Jeff Kane - The Train Tender):

And here is how I do it with O-27(the binding post on the right is connected to fixed voltage):

154C [1)154C [2)

Also, check out this discussion on Realistic Flashing for a 154 Crossing to use the 154 with a regular insulated rail section.
