Come now. The Lobaugh caboose is charming, and they go all the time for a hundred bucks or less. Granted, it is the all metal version, but it seems quite accurate.

Well apparently, I need to start shopping where you shop. Anytime you want to give me a few hints on where to find these deals, I'm all ears.
Store this in your bookmarks, and check once a week. Current caboose is ATSF, and not Lobaugh, but you can find the genuine article often.

I've added it to my saved searches. Thank you very much!!!!
Scott -
I notice that you did not mention the NYC T-motor or H-10 Mikado projects in your
post from late last month.
Any word on these?
Thanks.
No mention from Scott on the B&O P7e, bummer. I was hoping for the Royal blue version as seen on the Royal Blue for NYC to DC. which went through Philly. if it has to be green I may still buy it and repaint it to Royal Blue.
Rex, I got the B&O Big Six from Kim's wife Saturday. I have them all now except the elusive P7e.
Well we will see.
John
John, the P7E's are coming. We just have to wait for the T3's to sell out. BF
The NYC 1948 20th Century Limited passenger cars are now here. See post on Main Forum. This is one of the most beautiful passenger sets yet produced by GGD. Great job Scott Mann!!!!!!!

So are the stripes on your passenger cars white or silver?
Don't know about the NYC units, but we are very happy with our 3rd Rail SP&S E-7!
Now you know. Silver stripes instead of white, painted windows, lightning stripes look funny, off? At least compared to all the other models I have seen. Need an old time NYC guy here. Original poster complained about the grays. I want to know, there is a second run coming on these. Different scheme? Or are these another run of the same? Corrected?
Second run is the "Beauty Queens" that I believe you requested. Supposed to have correct colors and striping.
Not sure what I requested, but the second run should have these errors fixed which is good. Zig zag too.
Good Day Scott,
At this point in time, is the B&O Columbian passenger cars a late 2012 or 2013 project?
Regards,
Frank Swafford
Frank,
It is safe to say it won't be in 2012 for The Columbian. 2013? Maybe.

Great news!, I will take it in blue or black. I hope the T-3's go soon. I have a T-3 and love it.

I use 9/32, which has diaphragms touching on straight track.
I expect that would be problematic on 0-72 curves for we benighted 3RS folks
It the diaphragms are just touching on straight track, they should have enough compressibility to survive 36" radius curves (O-72 in 3-rail speak) unless you're violating the fundamental laws of nature and using reverse-curves. As for 3rd Rail, releases, it looks like the CNW H1 Northern will be finishing up around he first of 2013. I'm Jazzed.

Doesn't work on the club layout. Sorry to say.
Do any of the new Kadees have a longer shank than normal?
One (or both) of my OK Engines cars has modified Atlas couplers in Kadee boxes, they work well with the PSC diaphragms. With Kadees the diaphragm plates would catch on 072 curves. The extra 3/16" or so of the Atlas coupler shank fixed the problem, but when sitting on a straight track they don't touch, unless you push them together.
If none of the new Kadees have longer shanks, then we need to campaign to get them made.
Bob,
Go to the Kadee website, and you will see a new "long shank" version in their new 700 series "E" type O Scale couplers
Thanks Hot Water! I need to order some couplers anyway so I'll be trying the new ones out.
