They announced the CZ baggage car along with the more esoteric dorm-buffet-lounge dome car which should just about complete the whole CZ project. Brochure stated "coming soon". But what that actually means is anyone's best guess, since the domed observation car started that way in October 2013 York and we still don't have it. Word on the street a few months ago was we'll definitely see delivery of the observation car by late November. Now they're waffling a bit with a December delivery and possibly. January 2015.
I guess I'm treating this announcement more as a preview announcement until they actually post this info on their website. Don't get me wrong... They have product numbers and all that. And I'm sure the usual Atlas-O dealers will accept pre-orders. But until Atlas-O actually posts the announcement on their website, we're certainly not gonna see delivery any time soon regardless of what the brochure says. Perhaps Atlas-O will prove me wrong... and I hope they do.
Was it really 2009 when this project first started? Wow!

"What a long strange trip it's been."
I hope all goes well. This was one of O gauge's finest hours. All in all, one of the best passenger sets ever produced.
Well, there was a Louisville "Vissman's Packing Co," reefer done some time ago,. and
now there is another, 30' one, that was shown as here this month. I asked, and
they said it has just gotten on shore, and was not at dealers', including those in the
halls.
Atlas was at iHobby last week and nothing really new there.....York is big in our eyes but I am sure if there was new stuff......they'd announced it at iHobby too.......
What about track?
Well, I might have read on this forum earlier this year that Atlas-O was going to announce a new car later this year. I assumed they were referring to a new freight car but after reading the replies before mine I think it was just a different California Zephyr passenger car.
These are just my opinion,
Thanks,

The U23b looks great.
Well, no new Trinity spine cars or articulated well cars with 53' containers.
You dodged a bullet there, Swafford...
Good Day Martin,
I have sent suggestions many times over the past 7 years to several of the O Scale Model train companies. My thinking....A 21st Century Intermodal Theme would sell very well, Intermodal cars, Yard Trucks, 20', 40', 48', 53' Containers, and Intermodal Crane. Maybe one of these days!
