In 2023 I bought a Lionel Cotton Belt LEGACY GP20 (2333592). This was my first legacy purchase, and it took several years for me to pull the trigger. I bought Cotton Belt because I used to see them a lot around Houston when I first moved here in '75. Then, in 2024 they came out with Pennsylvania LEGACY GP9 (2433401). I try to buy PRR stuff as much as possible, and I am kicking myself for not waiting.
The Cotton Belt runs nicely, but I like the PRR because of the radiophone antenna (and pulling my PRR rolling stock). It would also pair nicely with my 51702 PRR N-8 Caboose which also has a radiophone antenna. Does anyone know if Lionel made any improvements to the locomotives from 2023 to 2024?
