Dave, I have the PRR set and the newer NYC green set. They are PS3 and run great. The PRR set has gloss paint which was a nice surprise. The NYC has flat paint. My only gripe is the tethers between the units are so short that they frequently disconnect on my 036 curves. I put some black wire ties on and that helps.

I have a PS2 green PRR set and a PS3 B&M set.  They sound very good, run great and the detail is adequate at the price point.  I had the same problem as BRADFISH1 with the tethers and solved it the same way.  It's also hard to connect tethers when the engines are upright on the track.  Connecting them with the engines on their side is easier.  This problem wouldn't stop me from buying another set.

Had a PRR Railking PS3 - absolutely beautiful in high-gloss paint. Just stunning. Sounded great, loved hearing two separate engines starting up, very evident, in the sound file.

At the end of the day, after about moving 1/4 inch, I had an issue, flipped it over, and found a cracked and damaged truck gear. Got my money back but not without getting a hard time from one of our "beloved" forum sponsors!
