Received badges late last week.
A few more days to pre-register. I'm debating whether to wait much longer.
Hmmm. I registered a few weeks ago and no badges yet. Hopefully that is a sign that the registrations are pouring in.
My wife and kids mention every few days something about York. Everyone keeps changing their "need" list. They listen closely when I mention anything about the layout and then go hunting at York.
Well, this is a first. Not only did I get my badge, I received a second badge yesterday,
maybe this means if I get tired walking thru the halls, I can go back to the hotel and take a nap, while badge number two picks up where I left off!

Mine came a few days ago. I am all ready for Saturday!
Still watching my mailbox.
Registered 8/7. Nothing yet.
Peter
Registered online 8/8 also nothing yet. Still have not recieved the usual registration packet.
Got mine last week after registering online in July. Called and spoke to ED President who told me they were backed up.

Gerry, is Brother Bill going to come this time??
Yes indeedeeeeeeee I am going to York! Received my badge just today, told the missus that it is REQUIRED that I attend otherwise bad karma may happen. Well that one will work until she mulls it over!
Got mine today. Still hoping to be able to go Friday instead of Thursday but whatever day I can finagle I'll be there on Saturday too.
Jerry

Thank You!
Bill,
Thanks for your registration for the Eastern Division TCA York Meet.
I had to have an operation on my writing arm so I wasn't able to write the check until today 8/26/2013. I just hope it gets there by Sept 1 deadline.
Rick
No checks to write if one registers on-line....
Got nine last week. Was surprised that it was just plain stock paper and not the "stick on" type that I used to receive back in the 88 to 94 time frame.
rthomps, doesn't it cost more to register online?
Rick
Typically, it costs less to register on-line.

The charge is $1.50 more to register online, but once you factor in the cost of stamps, envelopes and the time involved in writing the check, filling out the forms and addressing the envelopes, that cost disappears pretty fast.
If you don't factor in any time, and you buy envelopes in bulk (in bulk, they cost around $0.025 each), the cost of the SASE mail option with two envelopes and two stamps is $0.97 (and this doesn't count the cost of the check itself). This makes the cost of online registration only $0.53 more than by mail. To me, that is worth it to save all the hand-writing of checks, forms and envelopes.
Of course you can opt to pick up the badge at York and save one stamp and one envelope, which brings the online option up to roughly $1.01 more than by mail with this option. Of course then you have the time you spend standing in line, and you still have to hand-write the check, form and one envelope. Again, that $1.01 is worth it to me to not have to stand in a line, not to mention the hand-writing.
If you actually place a value on your time, the online registration is the hands-down winner.
Andy
Truthfully, it never crossed my mind to register any other way.

Time change, I have gone the last 4 years and it's been paper, just different colors., They do have some nice badge holders for $2.00 at the TCA booths in many of the halls and at the registration desk
I register via the US Mail. I just don't see the need to register on-line and have my credit card information in yet another place. It took about a week for my badge to arrive. I got my badge holder at Staples. I think they were in ten packs, so I had some to share with some friends.
CW, why do you even have a credit card if you are afraid to use it?

I use them wisely.
I'm guessing even though I changed my address at National and in the "special instructions" box called attention to my new address, that it still went to my old one.

So that means we get to hang with your ex?
I just did register today.
George,
Thanks for your registration for the Eastern Division TCA York Meet.

Oops I forgot about that little (big) detail about what psycho did
Just got off the phone w/TCA about my badge. They ran out of badge paper but have it now. All orders received up to 8/9 were mailed over the weekend. I should get mine today or tomorrow.

Andy,
I think you just blew all the time you saved.
I registered online on 8/4 and haven't received mine yet. If I don't get it on time can I still go to the Bar-B-Que?

Nah, I was on the forum anyway, and I figure it was better-spent time than reading and posting to threads containing complaints about quality/China/prototypical-fidelity or the ongoing debate of boxers vs. briefs...

I would say "yes," as long as the "special guests" that Mike is trying to line up aren't door guards...
Andy
Guys,
I just posted(put in the mail) my application this morning. Looking forward to getting it soon! How much time do you think it will take for me to get processed?
Mike Maurice
First time it took forever and a day!
You should have your badges by Sept 10th.
Today!
Peter
Came today!
Got it today! Registered on 8/8.
