Part of the fun of the biannual TCA York, Pa meet is attending the Standard Gauge Modular Association meeting . SGMA includes all walks of standard gauge ...collectors , operators , and some very talented builders....some commerially ...others scratch built one of a kind . Each meeting new and unique pieces are on display .
Jim Watermann was displaying his new Zephyr, Green Diamond , Challenger, GG1, Diesel F unit etc ..
Dave Carnse new Forney frieght cars ....prototype Glen Toy Train " type" tank car
Norm Beaver with many of his creative genius scratch built pieces ....Grass hopper, T1, Mountain, Flying goose rail car, a beautiful CPH...and his outstanding Commodore conversion into a Dreyfus Hudson.
John Harmon ...not able to attend ...but his work was well represented with a string Boucher/ Voltamp frieght cars , Challenger ..now made by Jim Waterman , and his Daylight and streamlined passenger car that he partnered with John Kresse
Arno Baars book "Not your daddy's standard gauge" ...brought to reality by Dave Carnse...made it's debut ...an incredible encyclopedia of modern era standard gauge a must for all collectors.
Plan on attending the next SGMA meeting in York October 2022.
