The "York experience" lived up to my highest expectations yet again. For me as an operator and fan of all the modern stuff, the Orange Hall provided the usual oohs and ahhs of past York shows. I never cease to marvel at the ingenuity and inventive passion that our wonderful manufacturers and niche "cottage industry" vendors of special train-related products offer to our magnificent pastime!
As most of my friends here on the Forum know, one of the main pleasures of York attendance is the opportunity to renew old friendships and acquaintances from the hobby, and the latest visit to Pennsylvania was no disappointment. I especially want to take this opportunity to express my deepest appreciation to all of you who approached me to offer your heartfelt condolences concerning the loss of my beloved Jophie last October. I received countless hugs and and kind words. I can't properly express the gratitude that your outpouring of kindness brought to me. It was these many sincere expressions of sympathy that made this past York such a memorable occasion for me. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your true friendship and concern reconfirmed to me what a special and caring group of folks populate the electronic pages of this wonderful Forum and the hobby that it so importantly supports.
