Can I run the standard lighted Atlas 2-rail caboose on my DCS track or will the system see it as a short?
Thought I'd ask before blowing some fuses.
Thanks!

Should be no different than a lighted passenger car.
Atlas two rail does not have pick up rollers, it uses wipers inside the wheels and the wheels are insulated for DC pickup. I've run them without any problems, however, the lights will not work with the two rail trucks.
FWIW
Thanks for the answers! Time to hit the rail with it.

For 2-rail, I think Barry's comment still applies, it's just that you should put that choke in series with the hot lead from the insulated wheels.
I must have forgot about this. I bought a couple of Atlas 2 rail Amtrak passenger cars. They have LED lighting I think. I didn't notice any signal problems. I didn't use the engine meter for strength.
It would be cool if the new cabooses started using LEDs. I wonder if there's a new circuit design for the LEDs that works with DCS? Must have a cap, right?
The only addition you need if whatever circuit you have affects DCS is the 22uh choke in series with the roller power to the internal circuitry. I suspect it's the cap that kills the DCS signal.
Just responding to his question if the system would see it as a short.
