I have a couple of old Atlas switches and #6000 flex tracks from the early 90s. Will it work with the new Atlas O #7056 ?
Current production is code 148 but I think that the old ones were something like code 160 or even bigger.

Hi Pat, the old track and the new 21st Century track system are different sizes but not by much. I think the old track was just a bit larger. When I say "just a bit" I mean hardly noticeable. I have run equipment from old track to new track and vice versa without any derailing. Although, I would take a file to the end of the rail just to make a smooth transition.

Old Atlas is .009" taller. Simply use a .009" shim under the .148"rail for an even railhead. Some vertically twist the rail joiner, many just overlook it.
Use Peco code 138 railjoiners on the old Atlas, very snug, Ted has them in stock.
