I have a RS-1 w/TMCC that needs some help. When running in TMCC as I turn the dial on the legacy remote it takes off and then stops, turn it again and same thing. My questions are, first as this is 20 years old, is it possible to repair and 2nd who repairs Atlas O?  Its Saturday so I cant call Atlas. I will call them Monday. Any ideas?  Thank you

I was having problems with my Atlas RS-1 after many years on display.  Not exactly like your problem, but sometimes it would start and then pop the CB, other times ran slow.  Technician could not find a problem, but replaced the old grease, oiled it, made sure the boards were seated, and cleaned it up.  Runs great now.

I recently had a 20-year-old Atlas O RS-1 that would barely move. I sent it to Atlas (Hillside, New Jersey) for repair. Problem was dried grease. Technician cleaned out old grease and replaced with new. Now runs fine. Call Atlas O at (908) 687-0880 and you will be prompted to select a number for parts and repairs.

I just called Atlas O, I left a message for Bill, at least that is what the message said to do. Hopefully I will receive a call back.. Thanks for the advice..

Bill is the Atlas O repair technician. He is very reliable, an expert on Atlas O models, and has repaired and helped me with my Atlas O models for years. He will get back to you and also communicates by email, so it may help if you leave your email on the message. When the model is ready, he usually calls and takes credit card info, then returns the model. He will ask you to write a note describing the problem and include it when you send in the model. Your model is as good as fixed. He repaired a model for me last week and I will be posting it on Switcher Saturday this weekend.
