Anyone ever build a layout using this? If so what did you think about it? Anyone happen to know of any dealers who may still have some unsold inventory of it? Many thanks in advance?
Not sure how many curve sizes there were, I'm pretty sure they made switches. For curves and switches, O-36 is what I'm thinking of. If Ross would make an O-36 switch, I'd happily go with that.
I had some and sold it at the Greenberg Edison show last weekend. I forget the radius. Biggest difference between that and the other Atlas track was that it was magnetic (hello Magnetraction) and that it had black ties.
I bought two cases of NOS 10” straights at a train meet a couple years ago. I worked them into parts of the layout where they are not seen as a mismatch to the brown ties of the rest of my Atlas track. Some of the early runs (like mine) have very thick paint on the center rail to the point of creating conductivity problems for the pickup rollers. A light sanding and cleaning fixed the issue.
